CAFÉ MOSKAU on Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin was one of the seven national restaurants in the capital of the GDR. CAFÉ MOSKAU was planned by the architects Josef Kaiser and Horst Bauer and opened in 1964. A copy of Sputnik was erected before the opening in its original size - a present from the then Ambassador of the USSR. The name of Russia's capital on the roof - in German and Russian - was created by the graphic designer Klaus Wittkugel. Exhibition photograph within the author's photographic project "Berlin - the City of Change".
