Gaudí Mosaic Barcelona Designer Cushion Cover
A unique piece – the approved prototype of our handcrafted decorative cushion cover "Gaudí Mosaic " from the BARCELONA Collection.
A removable cushion cover with a refillable insert.
We recommend that you purchase a premium fiberfill (not included) or reuse a fill for instance from a worn-out no zip cushion to reduce landfill waste.
All the money raised from selling the first unique pieces will be invested in making the new cushions of recycled polyester.
"Color is life, and the lack of color is the clearest manifestation of death", — believed Antoni Gaudí. It is not surprising that it was him, the most brilliant architect of Catalan modernism, who invented the technique of trencadís (Catalan pronunciation [tɾəŋkəˈðis]). It is a type of mosaic made of recycled pieces of ceramic, like tiles and dinnerware. In the photograph: a fragment of a corrugated ceramic bank in Park Güell, one of the most stunning examples of trencadís by Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona.
