“Tomorrow come very early, for we shall do very beautiful things.” These were the last words Gaudí said to the workers of the Sagrada Família on the afternoon of June 7, 1926, moments before his tragic death. A tram ran over him and those "beautiful things" he had in mind are the last known words of this genius of Catalan architecture. All the architectural masterworks of Gaudí were the result of his detailed observation of nature. Hexagon was one of his favourite geometric figures. Besides the hexagonal shapes of the cells, Gaudí adopted from the bees the catenary arch that they use in the hive and the virtues of the collaborative and solidary work.
