“Tomorrow come very early, for we shall do very beautiful things.” These were the last words Gaudí said to the workers of the Sagrada Família on the afternoon of June 7, 1926, moments before his tragic death as a tram ran over him. Those "very beautiful things" Gaudí had in mind are the last known words of the genius of Catalan architecture.
Why is this legendary quote designed into a greenery hexagon? Because hexagon was one of the favorite geometric figures of Gaudí. Besides the hexagonal shapes of the cells, Gaudí adopted from the bees the catenary arch they use in the hive and the virtues of collaborative and solidary work.
Absolutely all the architectural masterworks of Gaudí were the result of his detailed observation of nature.
