A unique piece – the approved prototype of our handcrafted decorative cushion cover "Mauerpark – the Wall Park" from the BERLIN Collection.
A removable cushion cover with a refillable insert.
We recommend that you purchase a premium fiberfill (not included) or reuse a fill for instance from a worn-out no zip cushion to reduce landfill waste.
All the money raised from selling the first unique pieces will be invested in making the new cushions of recycled polyester.
Mauerpark is a public linear park in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district. The name translates from German as "Wall Park", referring to its status as a former part of the Berlin Wall and its Death Strip. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the former death strip was designated as a public space and one of several green spaces in the city by local residents. An 800 m strip of the Berlin Wall still stands in the park today as a monument and is a popular place for graffiti artists to paint and display their work. In photo: a fragment of the Berlin Wall in Mauerpark with street graffiti. A photograph of Berlin.
