Due to the skyrocketing rent prices in the historical districts of Berlin, many low-income Berliners have created numerous organisations to defend their interests as tenants. Since the 90s, being afraid of financially motivated relocation, they have been participating in the movement “WE'RE ALL STAYING“ (“WIR BLEIBEN ALLE“). A historical photograph of Berlin of a formerly occupied building at Brunnenstraße, 183 in Berlin-Mitte sold to an investor and already modernized. Currently, it is home to brand new STUDIO183 - a collaborative store concept that integrates high-quality design, fashion, technology & art and offers a platform for young designers to sell their products in a curated retail context. This photograph was exhibited during 13 personal photographic exhibitions "Berlin — the City of Change" within the framework of the Year of Germany in Russia.
